Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was aware that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks.
