Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition, she placed among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. The youngest winner of the 200-meter race at the World Championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title once again in 2007, defeating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes in each of her events.
