Elizabeth Jane Hurley has been a model and actress in England since the late 1980s. In 1990 it was reported that she could be the lover of Hugh Grant. Hurley became the focus of the media in 1994 after Grant gained worldwide attention due to the popularity in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie wearing a Versace gown that was secured by gold safetypins. One of the highlights of Hurley's professional career is her relationship with the cosmetics firm Estee Lauder. They offered Hurley her modeling opportunity when she was just 29 and has used her as a model for their products, particularly perfumes like Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures since 1995. Her most famous film work was in the role of Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers' hit spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley is currently a model and designer of the eponymous Beachwear Line. I kissed a Girl, a confident ode to her sexual curiosity that is set to a gritty electronic-pop beat, made a bigger splash several months after. It was a controversial song in that critics had criticized it for encouraging relationships with a partner and other charged that it depicted a sexually explicit scene which appealed to men's fantasies about female sexuality. I Kissed a Girl was an immediate hit for Perry's of the same name in 2008. of the Boys in 2008, thanks to the combination of sexual enthusiasm and polished melody. Its bouncy, sharp-tongued and bouncy song, the second Hot N Cold also proving to be a hit, the album which Perry wrote herself eventually registered the sales of over three million copies within the United States.
