When he was born, birth, the famous smile of Stallone was the result of an accident with a forceps. Nerves were cut when the accident occurred, and resulted in a blurred speech. Stallone experienced a rough childhood. His parental hostility, which eventually led to divorce, had detrimental impacts on him as well as Frank. Stallone was a child being in foster homes. Stallone at the age of 5 years old at the time, was able to move with his family Washington, D.C., the city where his father had his own company of beauty salons. Stallone was a resident of Maryland for years, staying with his dad following his divorce from his parents in the year 1957. He struggled emotionally and academically and was kicked out of several schools.

Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School.
