Mischa Barton
Barton, an British American actress, has worked in film, television and the theatre. Barton has made her New York City debut at the Lincoln Center with Tony Kushner's Slavs! and played the lead in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. In 1996 she made her first appearance in the acting world with the appearance of a short part on the show All My Children. She played characters in the Nickelodeon animated series KaBlam! from 1996 to 1997. From 1996 to 1997, she portrayed her role as the main character for the film Lawn Dogs alongside Sam Rockwell. The film was her debut important acting job. In 1999 she played as a character in M. Night Shyamalan's psychological thriller The Sixth Sense and the romantic comedy movie Notting Hill. Also in 1999, she appeared in Pups, an independent crime drama. In the following season, Barton acted as Evan Rachel Wood's friend on ABC's Once and Again (2001) and also in the drama indie Lost and Delirious (2001). She played Marissa Cooper in the 2003-2006 season of The O.C. Fox TV series The O.C., for which she won two Teen Choice Awards. Barton has been named the "It Girl for 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played the role. Barton was a part of the cast since 2003 in the comedy St Trinian's The drama Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring. She was also in the film Closing the Ring which was directed by Richard Attenborough.
