In the fall of that identical year, the musical 13, which was the first Broadway musical to be entirely made up of teenagers, was moved to Broadway. Gillies' two greatest numbers, "Opportunity", and "It can't be true" and "It can't be true" were followed by smaller roles in songs such as "Hey Kendra", "Getting Ready" as well as the song that was to be her title. Gillies worked with the show until it closed on January 4, 2009.
