
A musician and an experimenter since a young stage, Long Island, New York's Madison Elle Beer started posting videos on YouTube of her singing covers of well-known songs as 13-year-olds in 2012. Justin Bieber, a pop star, discovered her version of Etta's "At Last" within a few months and then shared the video with his nearly 25 million followers on Twitter. The coverage led to her signing a contract with a record label with Island Records, and then an agreement for management with Bieber's manager. Beer was also featured in the small role of David Duchovny in Louder Than Words. The film premiered at the festival in 2013. The debut single she released, the poppy, melismatic "Melodies," also saw its release in the middle of the year.Beer's vocals were first heard on the tracks of other artists like Cody Simpson's "Valentine" and the 2015 club track "I I'm Not letting You walk away" by Mako. The singer-songwriter released her debut EP As She Likes in 2018. "Home with You" reached the Top 30 in Norway while the EP reached half the Billboard 200. Beer also released the single "Hurts Like Hell", with Offset the following year.
